"ISAF" Liferaft Regulation (Appendix A Part 2) has replaced the "ORC" (Appendix A Part 1) specification
This ISAF liferaft can be used under current Codes of Practice and is a requirement under the Class XII legislation, which affects all UK registered vessels over 13.7m (45ft).
The Ocean Safety ISAF Liferaft - 6 Man Canister has been designed and manufactured to the new ISAF standard for the racing yachtsman. A top of the range high specification liferaft incorporating superior safety features. ISAF Liferaft Regulation replaces ORC specification. This raft is a requirement for all boats of 45ft + registered in the UK. Also used for code of practice compliance. The lifeguard ISAF Raft comes with internationally approved service network and extended service interval.
Design enhancements include larger water pockets for increased stability, a highly visible orange floor for identification and a new upgraded emergency pack. The boarding system has also been developed to improve entry from the water. The emergency pack has undergone stowage enhancements, making it easier to access essential equipment once in the raft.
The Ocean Safety ISAF Liferaft - 6 Man Canister was the winner of the 2004 "Yachting Monthly" magazine test on Liferafts.
