 GPS & Chartplotters

Reliable position fixing has transformed the art of navigation, whether piloting creeks and rivers, or crossing oceans. With everything from basic handheld receivers to high end, fully functioned chart plotters, there is a GPS device for every boat and every budget.

Don't miss...
What does GPS stand for?
The main function of a GPS is to tell you where you are. That's good but you might also want to know how to get to somewhere else.
Users Guide to GPS
A GPS set receiving signals from at least 5 suitably positioned satellites may have an accuracy of 15 meters, but this may be degraded to 100m or more and occasionally tens of miles.
