'AS THE LABEL SAYS'
Strengths:
These gloves kept my hands really warm sailing up the channel in the first week of January.
Weaknesses:
Too bulky to do any kind of finger work like openning a sailing knife or pressing buttons.
Overall:
I bought these after a cold night passage when I only had shortie gloves that weren't waterproof. So I really appreciate these, especially helming or on watch at night in the cold or wet.

'PERFECT FOR HELMING BUT THATS ABOUT IT'
Strengths:
Waterproof and warm. Very comfortable for helming in. Long wrist covers prevent water coming up your sleeves.
Weaknesses:
The fingers are so bulky it is quite hard to operate anything - i.e. and electronic compass and other instuments, resulting in you having to take them off everytime you want to toggle information on the screen.
Overall:
Very good helmans glove, but unless you are on a race boat, the chances are you are going to have to do a range of other things as well and don't want to have cold hands. This isn't a very versitile peice of kit - but do keep your hands toastie if nothing else.
