'GREAT VALUE AND SURPRISINGLY GOOD'
Strengths:
warm and keeps out the wind and rain well. Pockets are deep and the velcro on the frint zip keeps out wind and rain very well

[Update 12/09/06] warm and keeps out the wind and rain well. Comfortable and looks OK.

Weaknesses:
Hood does not have a large enough velcro attachement to comfortable cover the lower face when the cold / wind / rain really kicks in

[Update 12/09/06] Hood does not have a large enough velcro attachement to easily cover the lower face when the cold / wind / rain really kicks in.

Overall:
Have used this is all seasons in the Solent and off the the West Coast of Scotland and am very impressed with the eprformance and the value.

[Update 12/09/06] Have used this is all seasons in the Solent and off the the West Coast of Scotland and am very impressed with both the performance and the value.

'CHEAP AND CHEERFUL'
Strengths:
The price is considerably lower than it competitors. Lightweight with few fastenings so is very comfortable to wear.
Weaknesses:
Not really up to offshore standard, more of a costal/inland waters set.
Overall:
Perfect for beginners and occasional sailors, but those who go more offen might want something a little more substantial.

'EXCELLENT IF YOU'RE A BEGINNER OR NEED A BACK UP JACKET'
Strengths:
Good for warmth and keeping out wet - easy to move around in. It looks convincingly stylish too.
Weaknesses:
No frills to keep the cost down - handwarmer pockets would make all the difference.
Overall:
A really good buy for a basic jacket. Hard wear might push you to reproofing it for each season though.
