'DOES WHAT IT SAYS, REDUCES NOISE'
Strengths:
the self adhesive face will stick to virtually any surface as long as the surface is cleaned properly. I would suggest wiping surface with spirit wipe after cleaning with conventional cleaners
Weaknesses:
not easy to cut, due to the thickness of the foam, but not really a weakness. keep changing the blade of a craft knife and be careful and you shouldn't have a problem. the face material is easy to damage if you are not careful but again with care not a problem
Overall:
i have only just fitted the foam in the engine bay of my cruiser but the noise reduction is already noticable. i intend to fitt more lower down in the engine bay to reduce the reverberation further but time ran out and i need to clean the jelcoat before fitting it. i have taped the cut edges to reduce the chance of water being absorbed and wieghing down the stern more, the foam wieghs 4-5kgs. per square metre so that has to be considered when fitting. i would certainly recomend this product
