'VERY GOOD'
Strengths:
Small neat casing
Considerably cheaper than competing products
Weaknesses:
Fitting the holder to pushpit was a little tricky
cannot easily be completely removed when leaving the boat
Overall:
I must admit I dont really understand the other reviews. Overall this is a good peice of equipment. The casing is much neater and stronger than brittle plastic alternatives and consists of a solid peice of plastic piping with a fabric cover. The danbouy itself is well made, and can be taken out easily for storage.

I changed the cartridge at the beginning of the season, but thought I would test it properly first, and the 12 month old cartridge inflated the bouy no problems at all.

Would definately recommend it as a much cheaper alternative to others on the market, and in my opinion is just as good in terms of quality.

'HOLDER VERY POOR'
Weaknesses:
Holder brackets do not fit any stanchions on boat as they are all wrong diameter for bracket.Lifebuoy ends up being stowed under seat, not ideal for quick use.
Overall:
lifebuoy good, fixing dire.

'IMHO DANGEROUS'
Weaknesses:
Bought this device and the horseshoe last season. Opened up over winter to inflate and both had leaks in the folds. Sent back for full refund.

Very poor

'POOR'
Strengths:
Small case
Weaknesses:
Impossible to mount in its present state
Overall:
The case does not have the top opening device as shown in the ad. Instead it is a case opening with metal clasp and the only mounting points are 4 small holes in the bottom of the box. There is not futher bracket supplied so the only option is to deck mount which is hopeless or to drill throught the sides of the box to enable cable ties or similar to be used. Any other solution means that the box can not be opened. There wher also no instructions of any kind whatsoever or advice as to servicing etc. Hopeless and I would have sent it back except for my leaving that evening for a delivery where the equipment even in that state was essential.
