'EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE, GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY'

Strengths:
An easily applied product, excellent sealant. A real bonus product if remove-ability is paramount. I have a removable cockpit sole (Hurley "Felicity")held down by about 60 self tapping screws. Removing for the annual bilge clean and repaint is no problem now I use Dow Corning sealant.

Weaknesses:
Does not take paint readily. Short 'in tube' life once opened .. about a couple of weeks.

Overall:
I now use Dow Corning sealant for all my sealing jobs, both for myself and for my friends. It is not a glue but none the less does have a stick-ability of sorts. Cleaning up after use is easy and there is no mess. Durability in situ is excellent and with any situation where the joint sealed may need to be opened up some time in the future, keel bolts, windows, grab rails, through deck fittings etc., I have found this sealant to be a Godsend. I can recommend it.
