'CHEAP AND USEFUL - FITS POCKET NICELY.'
Strengths:
Small and neat - simnple operation. Batterys can be changed singly or in sets. Can use dry-cells or any rechargeable AAA size. Price.
Weaknesses:
Auto squelch - so far not seen any problem with it - but could mean weak signal not received. Low power at full output of 2W
Overall:
For the price - I think is an excellent buy. The pair gives good emergency grab-bag possibility. One on board for general use - other in the bag jut in case. Or one on charge while other in use.
Have experienced their use in Stockholm Archipelago and they did well in the environment despite all the islands and shielding you'd expect. I paid a lot less than the price shown here though - about 75 pounds I think discounted.
