Ipswich based Broadblue Catamarans, now leading the field as the UK's top catamaran builder will grandstand its highly successful Broadblue 385 at this year's Southampton Boat Show.
Manoeuvrability
The 385 is an ideal family cruiser offering generous accommodation for a boat of its size while sailing is relaxed with its “Easy Sail Rig”. This consists of a small mainsail stepped aft with a large furling genoa to provide fast and stable performance.
Sport Rig
An alternative “Sport” option takes the rig further forward with a large roached, fully battened main and smaller genoa. The sport rig is designed for fast passage-making and a more exhilarating liveliness.
Family comfort
The accommodation offers plenty of space and amenity with a large airy saloon featuring an oak dining table, comfortable seating and a chart table with swing-out seat. A well fitted galley is also located on the main bridgedeck area providing a comfortable working area with sink, hob, oven and fridge.
Interior hull options
Stepping down into the hulls takes you to the sleeping accommodation and heads/shower facilities. There are two layout options:
Standard layout
The standard choice has three double cabins and two pilot berths, plus a large head/shower compartment with the option of an additional walk-through head/shower in the starboard hull.
Twin stateroom layout
The alternative twin stateroom layout has two double berth cabins and two pilot berths. There is a head and shower in each forward hull area.
Holiday space
On deck, the Broadblue 385 offers ample space for relaxation, with a spacious cockpit and boarding/diving steps off the stern of each hull. Moving around the boat is safe and easy with wide side decks. When its time to take the sails down, the 385 has two 20 hp diesels with saildrive units to make manoeuvrability in tight marinas a breeze.
At Southampton
The Broadblue 385 catamaran will be at Berth 93 in the Show Marina.
