Aberystwyth Marina unveils expansion

Aberystwyth Marina

The expansion of Aberystwyth Marina has been completed after ten days of construction. New pontoons will increase the capacity by 50, taking the Marina to 150 berths in total, providing much-needed moorings for boat owners of this West Wales coastal town. Annual berths are now available as well as the ability to accommodate additional visiting vessels.

It is hoped the expansion will help attract tourist revenue to the area and it will serve as a welcome addition to the nearby Welsh harbours of Fishguard, New Quay, Aberaeron, Barmouth, Porthmadog, Aberdyfi, and Abersoch are all within easy reach, as are the marinas at Pwllheli, Conwy, Milford Haven and Neyland. Meanwhile, for the more experienced sailors the marinas and harbours of Ireland's east coast are within a day's sailing.

For more information the marina may be contacted by email (abermarina@aol.com or www.abermarina.com) or by telephone on 01970 611422.
