Let's be 'avin' you. There's a yacht on the lookout for hot crew like you to take part in the UK's biggest yachting challenge, the Sevenstar Round Britain and Ireland Race.
1,760 miles you've got to do - three times longer than the Fastnet in every kind of condition you can think of - with no let-up as you fight your way right round the British Isles. You'll start from the Royal Yacht Squadron in Cowes on 7th August, and keep it up till the finish around 10 days later.
Is it you? Well, sure why not? Especially if you're the adventurous, do-anything type. And especially as you'll be helping to raise a minimum of £100,000 for the charity Sail 4 Cancer. Six of the crew are already signed on and committed to the race - determined to finish up there among the stars - and determined to raise as much money as possible.
The remaining four crew must be chosen by Global Yacht Racing in time for training and a full season cutting your teeth in RORC racing from April onwards. And you're either competing for the top slot of experienced professional skipper which is a paid position, or a properly qualified mate. The two other crew should preferably have race experience too - on top of commitment, enthusiasm and the dogged will to win.
If you're up for it, love salt water and like the idea of fundraising and racing at the same time, send your CV to info@globalyachtracing.com or contact Claire at Global Yacht Racing on 02380 458128.
