Shirley set out on a round-the-world voyage in 1982. She had never really thought of herself as a sailor before. But after twenty years and 60,000 miles, she and her husband were tacking back towards their starting point - circumnavigation complete! Along the way they experienced remote Pacific islands, English Channel storms, flying sails … and lots of canned food. But the book is more than a travelogue.
