Crewsaver - Crew-conveniencer?

Crewsaver - a name synonymous for years with lifesaving has now brought out three new products to make life on board a little easier

No more wet children

For protection in exposed conditions, the new breathable Junior Waterproof range includes a One Piece suit for toddlers and a Jacket and Trouser combination for larger children.

Each item is manufactured from lightweight 210D nylon to ensure longevity and provide the necessary durability you would expect from children's clothing. In addition, seams are taped for strength and to prevent water penetration.

The One Piece features a front zip for easy access complete with chin protector for comfort; a hood to ensure the head stays warm and dry; elasticated waist and ankles for a snug fit and soft neoprene cuffs for additional warmth and protection.

For larger children the Jacket has adjustable wrists and a drawstring waist to ensure a secure fit plus an adjustable hood with peak and front zip with chin protector and double storm flap. In conjunction with the Jacket, these high chest style Trousers feature elasticated braces and waist for a better more comfortable fit and adjustable ankles for easy donning. In addition, all Junior Waterproofs from Crewsaver have stowage pockets and retro reflective tape for night recognition.

An end to shower room blues

Clambering off the boat with a bundle of toiletries and heading for the shower room seems so often to lead to a dropped tooth brush, soap sliding everywhere and a juggling act as you struggle to hold everything at once and brace yourself as you hop onto dry land.

The wash bag from Crewsaver aims to put an end to all these trouble, it's a fold down affair that can hang up as your washing and roll up when you have finished making it easy to stow onboard. With various pockets you can put some order into your washing and save those nasty incidents chasing the soap.

Compressed storage

Wet sleeping bags, clothes and food are not sailing's most appealing aspect, but they do seem to be an all too frequent occurrence.

The Lundy is the latest dry bag from Crewsaver. Its cylindrical shape lends itself perfectly to keeping sleeping bags dry, but is equally good for clothing and anything that isn't breakable! Ideal for race crews and short passage trips but also great when ferrying ashore in the tender or RIB.

Unlike normal dry bags the Lundy has a special space saving feature that allows it to be compressed when packed. The process is quick and easy even with cold and wet hands: first pack and seal the Lundy bag, then attach the durable cover and compress using the adjustable straps. As the compression straps get tighter, air is slowly expelled through a hidden valve, reducing the amount of storage space required.
