The demand on a pair of gloves whilst in full bicep-contracting, face-pulling exertion on a sheet is high. Once you have experienced the slip of a sheet on ungloved hands you realize the importance of a good pair of gloves. There are so many out there to choose from and if you check out our Gloves buyers guide you can get a feel for what to look for.
Musto has concentrated on flexibility with their Long Finger Performance Gloves with the powerstretch back, super stretch panel over the knuckles and flexibility retained after drying. The gloves have an easy to use pull on and off tab, reflective piping and adjustable wrist closure.
Size Medium proved a tad too big, but this was only noticeable in the thumb and forefinger cut-offs. I would be tempted to get a smaller size, however I don't believe this was a design fault, but more to do with my stumpy fingers! The Velcro wrist adjuster also helps with fit.
The Performance Gloves proved very comfortable and surprisingly sturdy and supple at the same time. They are thin so you still have a feeling for what is going on and are able to untie and tie knots with no problems.
Available in black and red in sizes XS - XL the gloves retail for £20.
