Gill Technical Apparel sailing hats

Gill Technical Sailing Cap With the days starting (at last) to get warmer, the quest begins for the ideal sailing sun hat - to protect against sunburn and shield the eyes from glare from the water.

With this in mind, the latest additions to the Gill range of Technical Apparel are two high UV-protection hats. The Gill Technical Sailing Cap is a low profile cap specifically designed for sailing.

Providing an ultraviolet protection factor of 50+, the cap considerably reduces the effect of dangerous UVB light to the scalp, forehead and eyes. It is a close-fitting design with an elasticated Velcro adjustment to keep the hat secure - but, just in case, there is also a loop for fitting a retainer cord.

Gill Technical Sailing Sun Hat For extra protection, the Gill Technical Sailing Sun Hat, which also has a UPF of more than 50, keeps the sun off the neck as well as out of the eyes. Like the cap, the Wide Brimmed Hat also has a loop for a retainer cord.

Both hats have a water resistant finish and are quick drying, breathable and fast wicking for maximum comfort. Both are available in a single (adjustable) size, and a single colour - silver grey. Recommended retail prices are £12 for the cap and £15 for the hat.
