Crewsaver Petfloat new for 2008

New Crewsaver Petfloat Do you take your pet on your boat? Does he wear a lifejacket? He should, because even the strongest swimmer can get cold and tired. And if he should fall (or jump!) overboard, a specially designed cat or dog lifejacket gives the best chance of catching hold and getting him back on board, as well as keeping him afloat.

Crewsaver has introduced an update of its Petfloat range, described as “a smart, fun and stylish way to keep your pet safe.” The UK's leading lifejacket manufacturer says it has researched and tested the buoyancy aid on a wide range of pets to find the best combination of safety, comfort and design.

The new Petfloat is manufactured using a supersoft closed cell foam that offers excellent buoyancy and flexibility, the company says, and the outer fabric is extremely durable and wear resistant.

The Petfloat is easy and quick to fit. Padded webbing straps on the underside clip into place using quick release buckles. These straps pass through a foam padded harness that sits underneath the pet, holding the buoyancy aid in a secure horizontal, swimming position.

There is a lifting handle which can be attached to a halyard for lifting larger pets. There is also a standard lead attachment point.

And to ensure that leads, treats or pooper scoopers are not left behind, the Petfloat has a zipped mesh pocket on the back.

Available in bright red, the new Petfloat features reflective safety piping for high visibility and comes in five different sizes from extra small to extra large (9” to 26” from base of neck to top of tail) to cater for most cats and dogs.
