The Transquadra Race is an unusual event: a single- and double-handed transatlantic race restricted to amateur crews over the age of 40 sailing their own boats.
Gill has been appointed official clothing partner for the 2008/2009 event.
“We are delighted the race organisers have chosen us to be their official clothing partner. We are always keen to encourage participation in sailing and know that this race has a growing, enthusiastic following and provides a challenging event for amateur yachtsmen,” said Gill's international sales and marketing manager, Bryan Stewart.
Gill's French agent, Patrick Carro of Interdist, was himself a participant in the last Transquadra in 2005.
The company will be providing the race staff and leading competitors with Gill Intrepid Jackets, from their Technical Apparel range, branded with the Transquadra logo.
Race supporters will be able to purchase Transquadra-branded Gill polo shirts and Intrepid Vests through the Transquadra website - www.transquadra.com
.
