Entertainment centres from Marine AV

Marine AV portable entertainment centre If you want a TV on board, whether to keep up with the weather forecast, watch a movie, or review the video pilot of your next port of call, you may want to look at the latest products from Marine AV at the Collins Stewart London Boat Show (January 11-20, at ExCel).

Marine AV, which claims to be Europe's No 1 supplier of high quality audio-visual systems for boats, has introduced two portable LCD entertainment centres, complete with built-in DVD player, and a choice of 15in or 17in screens. They can run on 12, 24 or 240V. Each comes with a DVB-T digital tuner that can receive digital TV and radio.

The built-in multi-region DVD players can also play CDs, MP3 and MP4 files and the screen can also be used as a PC monitor.

Each set has 255 channels, SCART and AV inputs - for digital video and still camera inputs. The 1024 x 768 LCD screens are said to feature broad viewing angles both horizontally and vertically so that they will be easily viewable wherever they are fitted in the boat.

Weighing from just 4kg, the sets are easily transportable and are fitted with carrying handles.

The 15in LCD screen with built-in DVB-T tuner and DVD (MOB15DVD) is priced at £400 including VAT and the 17 in version (MOB17DVD) - £500 including VAT.

They will be on display on Mailspeed Marine's stand, N043C, at the 2008 London Boat Show.
