There were some inspiring entries in our competition to win a goody bag worth £160 - a smart duffle bag containing a bottle of 18 year old Bunnahabhain whisky, along with a pocket compass sundial, a telescope, a fleece and a polo shirt - by telling us about your favourite cruising destination abroad.
There were most votes each for Britanny, with isle de Rey and Isle de Brehat getting two apiece, but there was also eloquent support for Fecamp, and, further afield, for the Gocek/Fethiye area of Turkey. The winner is regular forum contributor David Evans 5, who included a lot of helpful information about his favourite destination, the Isle de Brehat, from the practicalities of navigating the rocky entrance to what to choose to eat.
Congratulations, David, and enjoy the whisky!
If you missed out this time, remember there are always spot prizes to be won for putting posts up on TheMainSail forum.
