Outdoor clothing specialist Helly Hansen has launched a new innovative layering collection for the coming winter.
The Mid-Layer range for men and women features Lifa Stay Dry technology - delivering superior moisture movement for prolonged comfort in harsh conditions. This revolutionary lightweight material has warmed Arctic adventurers, around-the-world sailors, and winter sports enthusiasts for more than 30 years - delivering more performance for its weight than any other fabric technology, according to Helly Hansen.
Designed to be worn by men for layering over HH Dry Baselayers when extra warmth and dryness is required, the Bullet High Neck Zip is a high intensity mid-layer made for “snow sports on and off the hill” - including winter sailing!
The Stripe Half Zip, which can be worn alone as a base layer, has a modern cut, and aims to make fleece jackets “a thing of the past.” Both items have flat lock stitching for a smooth fit and easy layering, as well as chin shield zipper protection.

For women the Stripe Hoody and Bullet Half Zip, with quick-drying performance, are also designed for layering over HH Dry Baselayers. These high intensity mid-layers can't absorb moisture internally, but rather move excess heat and sweat to the exterior, leaving the body comfortably dry in winter conditions.
No matter what the outdoor activity, or how cold it is, the body produces heat and sweat - and it is just as vital to allow excess moisture to escape as it is to keep the body protected from overexposure to wind, rain and snow, says Helly Hansen:
“The proven three layer principle - base, thermal and protective - provide unbeatable moisture and weather protection, whilst ensuring the body is able to breathe.”
The Bullet High Neck (£60) is available in white, black and red, and the Stripe Half Zip (£50) comes in new blue, black and white - sizes XS-XXL. The Stripe Hoody (£60) comes in pink lightening, black and white, and the Bullet Half Zip (£50) is available in black and white - sizes XS-XL.
