Wessex Resins has announced the dates for this season's
West System Epoxy Workshops.
They are: Thursday October 18th, Saturday October 20th,
Thursday November 29th, and in the New Year, Saturday January 19th and Thursday March 6th.
The renowned one-day workshops include a brief history of epoxy
technology, the advantages of using epoxy in the
marine environment and the benefits of
West System products for all types of applications.
Everyone attending gains hands on experience in
using epoxy, being able to mix as much as they
like, with the opportunity to experiment with the
entire range of West System fillers for bonding,
gap filling, filleting and fairing.
Delegates will have
the opportunity to use their new skills and build their
own toolbox in addition to using West System
epoxy and fibreglass fabrics to complete repairs to
fibreglass panels.
At the end of the day delegates
take home over £50 worth of West System materials.
These courses are provided by the Wessex Resins Technical Support Group at the company's laboratory at Romsey.
There is an open forum at
the end of the day when those attending can ask specific questions regarding the use of
epoxy for the construction, repair and maintenance of their own boats. It will also give rise to some general
epoxy/boating discussions.
These courses become over-subscribed very quickly, says the company, advising anyone interested to book early.
Anyone who is considering a major fibreglass repair or restoration project will benefit from learning about:
-
the uses of epoxy and the products to use for different applications
- Basic Techniques
- Mixing and Applying Epoxy
- Using fillers for bonding, gap filling, filleting and fairing
