The British Marine Electronics Association (BMEA) has developed a new
website. www.bmea.org
allows both consumers and members to see helpful information and news regarding marine electronics.
The new site has sections about the
BMEA, details of its British Marine Electronics Technician (BMET) Scheme,
the latest news from the Association and its membership and, most useful from a consumer's point of view, information about what to look for when purchasing marine electronics.
There are helpful sections on radar, GMDSS equipment, networked instruments and so on. There is also a selection of excellent technical guides.
Having been involved in a discussion about SSB radio over the weekend, I found the one on SSB extremely useful!
Ian Lockyer, Marketing Manager for Icom (UK) Ltd and webmaster for the
