Dubarry launches footwear care

Dubarry There are yacht crews who hate to be seen with shiny sea boots, and deliberately scuff up new footwear before being seen in it.

It's not for them that Dubarry has developed a comprehensive footwear care range for its renowned shoes and boots.

Dubarry says the specialist cleaners and conditioners are designed not only to keep your footwear looking good, but also to help maintain them for an even longer lifespan.

The collection includes:

  • Footwear Cleaner: a scrub cleaner suitable for all types of footwear. Developed using skin care technology, the gel contains a light beaded material which helps remove dirt and other residues. Leaves the footwear ready for proofing and conditioning.
  • Footwear Conditioner: conditions leather, giving it the appearance of being new again. Additionally, it is water repellent and resistant to oil and stains. Particularly good with smooth and full grain leathers.
  • Footwear Protector Spray: the first water-based fluorochemical spray. Restores the shoe or boot's water repellent finish and offers a high resistance to oils and stains. It's extremely durable, and suitable for all nubuck and suede footwear.
  • Replace-A-Lace Kit: contains two laces and a threading tool. Available in white, brown, navy and mahogany.

These products are priced at £5.95 each and are available from Dubarry stockists, who can also advise which treatment to use for particular footwear.

The products are designed to be used on clean leather, so salt water and dirt should be rinsed off first. Dubarry recommends that after exposure to salt water it is always best to rinse shoes and boots well and advises rinsing them under a tap with warm soapy water and a brush before using the footwear treatment product as instructed on the bottle.
