Delphia Yachts UK will exhibit the new Delphia 24 Sport for the first time in the UK, as well as the Delphia 33 at this year's Southampton Boat Show (September 14th to 23rd). The Delphia range is built in Poland.
Making her Southampton debut, the Delphia 33 combines good value with contemporary design, quality craftsmanship and invigorating sailing performance, says the company.
The Delphia 33 is comprehensively equipped for cruising, with a Selden rig, a fully battened main and furling jib, self tailing winches and wheel steering.
The yacht is said to have exceptional accommodation for a boat of its size, with a double berth cabin forward with hanging lockers, a double cabin aft and separate heads and shower compartment accessed from the main saloon.
The galley is fitted with Corian work surfaces, hot and cold water with twin sinks, Isotherm refrigeration and plenty of storage. Opposite the galley is a navigation area and the main saloon provides comfortable seating for six or more around the mahogany centre table.
On deck, the teak laid cockpit has been designed for easy sailing and safe access to the wide side decks, with a teak laid bathing/boarding platform at the stern. The Delphia 33 is competitively priced at £59,950 (inc VAT) plus delivery to the UK and commissioning.
The Delphia 24 Sport has already achieved impressive results in the UK at the Scottish Series and the Round the Island race where it performed very well against a fleet of J80's, showing speed and manoeuvrability.
Said to combine the innovation and build quality of Delphia's cruising range with additional fun and excitement, the sportsboat is delivered as a full racing package ready for the water. Designed ideally for four crew the Delphia 24 Sport has an asymmetric gennaker flown on a retractable bowsprit. The boat has hiking straps for the crew and a small cuddy for sail and kit stowage with space to stow a small outboard engine.
For easy launch and retrieval from a trailer, the cast iron dagger board can be lifted to float the boat in just 0.23m of water. The draft is 1.63m when the dagger board is locked in place for sailing.
The slippery hull design allows the yacht to reach the plane rapidly in surfing conditions and with deep rudder and fin close tacking can be fast and efficient, quickly reaching hull speed after the tack, say the makers.
Her SBR rating has been set at 0.908 which makes the Delphia 24 Sport competitive against higher rated sportsboats such as the Melges 24
The introductory base price for a Delphia 24 Sport is £17,995 for a boat ready to use including a full suit of sails.
Visitors to the Southampton Boat Show can see the Delphia 33 afloat in the marina area, close to the Try-a-Boat feature.
