Crewsaver Deep Knee Pads

Crewsaver Deep Knee Pads Latest addition to Crewsaver's sailing kit range are Deep Knee Pads. Primarily intended for dinghy sailing, they are designed to provide “great protection to knees against blows, falls and general battering.”

But why should they be just for dinghy sailors? Knees can take a hammering on bigger boats, too. Sometimes on your knees is the most comfortable position for winch winding, and changing sails often means kneeling on an unforgiving foredeck. A long day at sea can be hard on “mature” joints, so it could be worth giving these a try.

The articulated, ergonomic cut is said to provide a snug and comfortable fit allowing increased mobility when manoeuvring around your boat.

Constructed from 2.5mm double lined Neoprene, the Deep Knee Pads are soft yet highly durable. For extra freedom of movement and comfort the backs of the pads are made of a highly flexible, breathable fabric, says Crewsaver.

The high-wear areas around the front of the knees are reinforced by heavy-duty protective pads for durability. These areas are grooved for additional flexibility and help minimise pressure on the kneecap when bent. The knee pads are available in small, medium and large sizes.
