Gill announces Crosswind mid-layer

Gill Crosswind Jacket The latest item to be announced in the Gill line-up to be available for the first time at the Southampton Boat Show is the new Crosswind suit.

Designed for anybody sailing in cold conditions, or particularly on overnight passages, using up-to-the-minute laminate fabric technology, this Jacket and Salopettes combination is said to provide an extremely soft low-bulk mid-layer combined with fantastic thermal insulation provided by a low loft lining that will keep the sailor warm even if the garments get soaked.

Featuring fully taped seams, the Crosswind can also be worn as an outer layer in less extreme conditions.

With a smooth lining, as opposed to fleece, the Crosswind is claimed to be extremely easy to get in to in a hurry when weather conditions deteriorate. A stretch material in the shoulder panel, elasticated waist and abrasion-resistant seat and knees all contribute to the comfort and versatility of these garments.

Gill Crosswind Salopettes Available in this year's universal colours options, graphite and black, the Crosswind Jacket and Salopettes are available in sizes from XS to XXL at £100 each.
