It claims to be the biggest marine event in Wales. The second South Wales Boat Show opens today in Margam Country Park near Swansea and continues until Sunday.
Organiser Ben Sutcliffe says they have far exceeded their target of 150 exhibitors for this year's show and both the Versa Dock Mini Marina and the Marquee are sold out.
“This year's event has exceeded all expectations, with over 160 exhibitors and 300 different craft on display,” said Ben. “We are very proud that so many companies are launching new products here in Wales and are very pleased to see all our exhibitors back from last year along with many more.”
The show also has plenty of family attractions to ensure a great day out with “something for everyone to do,” he added. There is the chance to get afloat on the lake with the free “come and try” feature which last year saw more than 500 children and families on the water.
A new feature this year is the creation of a beach, complete with pirate ship, and there are all sorts of other attractions from bouncy castles to hovercraft rides - not to mention Father's Day treats.
