Richard Thomas, who wrote the hugely popular series of articles Marseille to Corfu, and is currently writing a series of articles on sail trim for TheMainSail would be the professional skipper aboard a Beneteau 50 footer for two single week holidays, starting in Palma, Mallorca, on July 21st and 28th respectively
Richard plans (weather permitting) to sail right round Mallorca on each of the weeks, starting and finishing in Palma, and calling at Andraix, Soller, Puerto Pollensa, Cala Rajada, Puerto Colom, perhaps spending one night at the nature reserve at the Cabrera islands as well as anchoring in some of the many Calas for breakfast, lunch, swimming, etc. Palma Marina is a one Euro bus ride from the airport.
The cost is expected to be £489 per person, excluding flights and evening meals, but including all other costs, boat charter, marina fees, food on board, etc. Nine berths are available for each of the two weeks. Bookings will be welcome from MainSail members aged 18 or over, whether experienced sailors or complete novices. Richard will advise on cheap flights!
