Simrad has won another prestigous award from the National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA), on the final day of the industry organization's annual convention in Naples, Florida (Oct 15th 2005).
Simrad earned the 'Best Autopilot' award for its successful AP25 Series autopilot, an advanced, highly reliable autopilot system for vessels up to 40 feet.
The award will sit proudly next to the 38 other NMEA Best Autopilot awards at Simrad's autopilot centre of excellence in Egersund, Norway. Simrad has receieved at least one NMEA award every year since the awards started, completely dominating the autopilot category due to the reliability, ease of use and performance of its highly regarded autopilots.
Each year, the NMEA polls all of its members - dealers, Certified Marine Electronics Technicians (CMETs) manufacturers and others - to select the best products in the U.S. based on reliability, performance and customer satisfaction. With Simrad consistently winning the autopilot category year on year, its clear that the professionals' opinion of Simrad autopilots is very high.
”It's with pleasure that we report another NMEA award win for our autopilots,” states Jan Berner, President, Simrad. ”Being recognised by the NMEA is extremely imprortant to us, but as ever, we will continue to improve our autopilots and other systems through extensive R&D.”
