Crewsaver Dry Towel

Crewsaver Dry Towel Unlike your bog standard beach towel, the Crewsaver Dry Towel is ideal for sailing. Constructed out of hi-tech micro fibre fabric and it can absorb up to four times its own weight in water.

The Crewsaver Dry Towel doesn't feel dissimilar to shammy leather. It's very soft to the touch. Unlike leather however, which take ages to dry, the towel merely needs to be wrung out and in good conditions can be dry in less than half an hour - and a minute with the aid of a hand dryer when you're in port!

Unlike some similar products, it is really nice to see that Crewsaver's offering doesn't leave you indecently exposed. When completely unfolded the towel measures 35” x 57” (89cm x 145cm). This gives an ample one and a half turns round the average stature. This coverage doesn't compromise on packing size either. When dry and folded away in its travel bag, the dry towel packs down to a compact 10” x 3” (26cm x 8cm).

Both the travel bag and towel have a hook so you are able to hang them up, rather than having to leave them on a damp floor. The bag also has a zip for extra security.

The Crewsaver Dry Towel is available in blue and pink and retails for approximately £22. To find out more information on this or any other Crewsaver product, visit www.crewsaver.co.uk.

Verdict

Not having a wet towel when it comes to having an impromptu shower is priceless. Ideal for any sailor's kit bag.
