Rule offers small pumps with big ideas

Rule A new range of compact combined submersible and inline pumps and portable pump kits developed by Rule could have all sorts of uses for yachtsmen, both on board and ashore. There are four sizes in the Slimline series, which include filters for use in submersible mode, or, when the filter is removed, can be used inline.

They are capable of pumping hot or cold fresh water, sea water, or even diesel. They are very compact, ranging in weight from 113g to 500g, and could be used to pump bilge water from tight spaces, as deck showers, for general wash down, or for water or diesel transfer, say the manufacturers.

The range of three portable pump kits come ready to use, complete with lay flat hose and battery terminal clips. Their portability makes them useful for tasks ashore, from washing cars to filling or emptying containers, as well as for numerous tasks on board.

The mini Slimline series multifunction pumps combine small size with big performance, says Rule. Flow rates are from 760 to 1920 lph with operating heads from 7.6 to 9.7 metres.
