Unfortunately this is one that won't be out till after Christmas, but it's certainly worth saving up all the money that kind relatives send concealed within Christmas cards. Anyone who owns a pair of Dubarry boots will know only too well the high standard they are made to. Just when you thought they couldn't get any better, they did!
Nominated for a DAME design award, the Dubarry Fastnet boot was shown for the first time at METS last month. This new model promises to combine high-tech technical features with good looks. And what's more it is available in a brand spanking new colour - Platinum!
Featuring a stretchy Lycra section at the top, the Fastnet boot can be folded down on the inside or outside, when not worn with foul weather pants. Though we don't have full details as yet, we expect that all the familiar characteristics will continue on the new model: duo compound PU mid sole and Gore-tex lining to name but two.
Hitting the shops at the beginning of 2007, the Dubarry Fastnet boot will be retailing for £180. And we have been promised a pair for product testing as soon as they arrive, so watch this space.
