At the back of many a boatyard lie the masts and spars that have probably long since been discarded as too heavy, distorted - or even critically rotten in part.

I've recently aquired a 15ft lugger, built by Padstow Seaboats, and used as a demonstrator sparingly. Sadly, her masts and sails etc were lost in a barn fire - all that remains apart from the boat, that is in relatively good order, is a sail plan and an inventory.

The longest mast is 14ft x 3" x3".

 Can anyone point me at something I can reduce and recycle?
