I'm a cruising sailor with a 27' british sailing yacht (Verl 27) based at Sovereign Harbour. I'm looking for someone who is interested in fairly regular weekend day sailing (saturday or sunday, or both!) so I can get out on the water a bit more often than I currently manage with my busy and slightly reluctant partner. Only basic experience necessary (knowing which way to push a tiller or step ashore with a mooring line will do!) - the boat almost sails itself. I don't go out in howling gales or monsoon rains, just pleasant days sailing. Interested? email me mountfordr@filshamvalley.e-sussex.sch.uk

Hello Rachel, just come across this posting during my lunch break at work.

I took up sailing about 2 years ago after becoming curious following a Ferry Channel crossing from Brittany.

Since then I taken RYA Comp Crew, Day Skipper Practical & Theory, Dinghy Level 1 & 2, & soon to start Yachtmaster Thoery.

I joined a sailing club called Ashdown & go out with them say every 3 months. This summer we crossed the channel to Fecamp & spent the week coastal hopping.

I don't own a yacht but will in the future. When ever a crew opportunity comes up I jump at it.

I still have a lot to learn & very eager to help out.

I am 42 years old, married for 18 years, 4 kids (16, 14, 11, & 8 years old). I live in Banbury Oxford & commute to High Wycombe daily.

If of interest please email

Many thanks for reading message.
