A very nice boat Phil - and well parked. I remember as a lad admiring the lines in the small ad. for the 33 Coaster in old PBO magazines. Then last week I was wandering along the front in Burnham on Crouch (for the first time) and to my great surprise I came across the yard - RJ Prior - boatbuilders! They are still making boats but not quite like they used to perhaps......

Fair winds and tides.

They built about 100 of these-the last in early 1990s.The origional wooden plug also exists and is sailed by its now octogenerian owners-if you are interested just check out owners assoc. on internet.Personally think they are far superior to other MFV based motorsailers as they have a sturdy rig and sail quite well.

No thats another one of the Coaster 33s-they all look pretty similar-the two others you you commonly  see up here are Argos Navis  of Lorne(based at Dunstaffanage) and very distinct-painted red-Sharon Day-the origional wooden plug bought from Priors after  they had caste the glassfibre mould .
