Admiralty Plotter-a potential issue.

For those who use Admiralty Plotters I have recently come across an issue which I have raised with UKHO.

This is not a fault in the programming but an issue which can arise based upon our familiarity with using web pages.

When you have a Chart loaded up on screen with mouse over you right click to be offered a series of options-larger scale, smaller scale, charts to N,S,E and W .I had through familiarity got it into my head that this was working like mouse over web page and click through web link to another page when highlighted by little pointed hand.I became further confused in that the Charts show in blue outline any area covered by a chart  of larger scale.(does not apply to inset charts)

Occasionally as a result I would get a Chart I did not expect.Why?-because as was explained to me by UKHO staff the programme soly picks another Chart of the next larger  scale which covers any part of the area covered by the smaller scale chart.A close up chart of approaches to a harbour area may well be ignored until you have progressed through several ever larger  scales available.
