It is well sheletered to all but a southerly, as three sides are surrounded by fairly high ground.  We were anchored in about 3 metres, the water is certainly nice and clear, and we got almost no disturbance frm the wind, which I believe was northerly around a 4 gusting 5.  The castle is worth a climb for a look around too - not an easy landing with the dinghy (see the other pictures), but quite an interesting few minutes spent wandering around it (there's not a great deal of it left!).
