I have a fairly heavy rib - just about OK within the overall 50% weight of the davits spec but with an outboard on one end, this end is over the 50%, like about 75% weight. Someone said they use their stores loading boom as an additional davit help for the heavy end of the rib. I have been looking at the plastimo ones but not sure. It would be good to also use to get heavy items aboard as I have an aft cabin Broom and it is difficult to lift the crates aboard (hic). Anyone got any experence of a stores loading boom, either plastimo or others and any suggestions (apart from replacing the davits) on heling the davits one end. PS the outboard is an electric start so taking it off is nt an option.
